You will learn how to:

  • Construct a layered clay vessel using slabs and added layers for strength and form.

  • Understand proportion, balance and structural integrity in hand built vessels.

  • Create unique and beautiful surface textures using a range of tools, materials & techniques.

  • Work with clay in a slower, more considered way, by finding freedom within the framework of this workshop.

I will demonstrate each stage of the construction and texture process, with plenty of time for guided making, questions, and individual support throughout the weekend.

This workshop is suitable for beginners through to experienced makers. No prior experience is required, just an interest in learning a solid, adaptable approach to vessel construction.
